Susvara uses a special magnet design that is acoustically transparent and dramatically reduces diffraction turbulence. In addition, the driver is incredibly thin and low mass, offering extreme dynamics with tremendously low distortion. The outer "window shade" has been painstakingly optimized to reduce resonant frequencies. 

HiFiMan has created an advanced stealth magnet design which is acoustically transparent, dramatically reducing the wave diffraction turbulence that's common to planar magnetics and electrostatic headphones. The result is audibly purer, more harmonious sound.

In addition, the nanometer-grade driver is so incredibly thin and low mass that it can offer extremely high dynamics with very low distortion, and a lower need for power. The tonal quality and overall clarity have to be heard to be believed.

The back of the headphones, the "window shade" has been carefully optimized to avoid all resonant frequencies, while providing good protection to the ultra-fine diaphragm.
