Cardas Clear Network CAT-7 Ethernet Cable
Eight 24 AWG Cardas Ultra-Pure Copper solid core conductors, jacketed in skin-foamed polyethylene.
Anyone who tweaks the streaming side of their system knows that network upgrades make a very big difference to the sound of your system. Get the lowest noise floor and cleanest signal with Cardas Clear Network which uses eight 24 AWG Cardas Ultra-Pure Copper solid core conductors, jacketed in skin-foamed polyethylene, arranged in shielded pairs, each pair with its own drain wire. The bundle of pairs is wrapped in a foil shield, and then a braided shield. The cable is then jacketed in soft, flexible thermoplastic rubber.
The cables are hand-terminated with premium Telegartner RJ45 connectors.
Matching Propagation
The Clear line is based on learnings and technology from the Clear interconnect which was made possible by George Cardas’ invention of the Matched Propagation Conductor in 2010. These conductors, with both speaker and interconnect variants, match the propagation velocity of the signal through the copper wire to the propagation rate of the best available dielectric materials.
The telephone industry has long understood and accepted the garbling that occurs when the signal outpaces the dielectric. It is fitting that long before founding Cardas Audio, George Cardas spent years as a line engineer with the telephone company in Southern California.
The Matched Propagation Solution prevents distortion by matching the propagation of the conductor to the dielectric through the use of specific pitch angles for each strand of copper wire wrapped around a core of Kevlar yarn. A selection of hard-to-obtain, high-performance dielectric materials with fast dissipation rates ensures that the signal remains intact and intelligible throughout the length of the cable.
The result is a conductor that conveys an unprecedented level of realism and transparency, without any detriment to the musicality of the system.
