This project was designed by a teacher who loved how students engaged with building bristlebots but saw how they lost interest once they were built because it was too difficult to change how they moved.

Dancing Monsters are a fun way to apply numerous engineering concepts - friction, transfer of energy, the relationship between force and mass, and centripetal force - to making Monsters dance!

The kit uses a visible eccentric rotating mass motor (vibrating motor) and engaging prompt to encourage students to apply the engineering process while they design their dancing monsters.
