EAT C-Sharp Turntable
E.A.T. got into the turntable business with the idea of blending high technology with beautiful design. As a result, the European Audio Team combines solid engineering choices such as high-mass platters and dual motors in chic design you'd be proud to display.
The C-SHARP uses high-tech materials such as carbon fiber, and thermoplastic elastomer to create a superflat table that's easy to fit into any rack or shelf. The low-resonance MDF chassis is mounted to energy-absorbing TPE feet that in turn connect to a sandwich sub-chassis made from carbon fiber and MDF for ultimate rigidity.
As a result, any vibration from the platter and bearing is directed to the TPE columns and dissipated as heat, rather than moving through the sub-chassis and tonearm and showing up as rumble.
The inverted bearing uses an inert, resonance-free ceramic ball set in a 700 g mass that isolates it from any energy around. The platter is made from aluminum and is also damped by TPE inserts.
The tonearm is a completely new design that combines all advantages of a unipivot arm with the ease of use and setup of a gimbal. It is made from carbon fiber and aluminum.
An external DC power supply unit with an AC generator creates clean power for the motors.
